TIME OF THE OLIVES AND GRAPES

In the charming area of San Giovanni in Venere Abbey, welcomed by Villa Mayer staff, we propose a weekend experience that will introduce you to the interesting world of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. After a day in the groves collecting olives from our trees, you will accompany us to a local mill to see how the olives are pressed to produce this precious golden liquid.

The journey also includes a visit to a winery to explore the secrets of our territory, the grape harvest and wine production.

PROGAMME

DAY 1 Morning: olive harvest. Afternoon: visit to Ursini mill, tasting freshly pressed oil, possible purchase.

DAY 2 Showcooking whole day, defining recipes, expense, preparation, lunch, dinner.

DAY 3 Morning: visit to winery, wine tasting, information about harvest, wine purchase. Evening: dinner with a menu including new oil supplied by Villa Mayer, wine and other local products.
