POSITION

You can reach Villa Mayer via a long tree-lined avenue, which offers privacy and an atmosphere of serenity, away from traffic. The resort, in central Italy, is about 2.5 hours from Rome airport and 50 km from Pescara airport and port. Close to the ancient Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere, the villa overlooks the trabocchi coast, between San Vito Marina and Fossacesia, 2 km from the tourist port of Fossacesia marina.

THE GARDEN

The villa has an immense private park with lawn garden and numerous Mediterranean plants around the house, and partly cultivated with olive groves, fruit trees and woods; these green areas ensure relaxation and well-being, on a magical hill, full of history, with the XII century abbey at 100 m to the villa. The entire property is located in a pedestrian area, far from the confusion. The swimming pool enriches the suggestive garden, the perfect location for relax and for an break at sunset, giving an atmosphere of quiet. Families are welcome at Villa Mayer, a paradise for children, where you can spend a wonderful holiday and enjoy the days with your children.

INTERIORS

The 5 bedrooms (with a potential additional bedroom) can accommodate up to 17 people, overlooking the sea, enjoy the splendid view of the Trabocchi coast and have direct access to the swimming pool and garden. The spacious double bedrooms offer the possibility of adding up to 2 more beds, maintaining the right comfort for all guests. The 5 large bathrooms, with showers and tubs, provide additional comfort. The large and elegant panoramic view lounge, with an extended adjacent porch, is the ideal place to relax with family or friends. Among the large spaces of the house you can also take advantage of a second rustic living room, with exposed wooden beams and a huge ancient stone fireplace. The bright and functional kitchen of Villa Mayer will allow a fully experience in the traditional Italian flavours, also taking advantage of a second adjacent porch. The barbecue corner and the large internal parking for guests complete the overall services offered.

Villa Mayer offers the possibility of an ecological holiday in autumn, participating together with the owners in the olive harvest in their own farm, with subsequent milling, oil and wine tasting and visiting the cellar.

OUR HISTORY

Villa Mayer is a '800 farmhouse restructuring, conceived as a dependence of the main villa (the current “Parco dei Priori”, once owned by Mayer family). The current Villa Mayer was the home of the settler in charge of the surrounding countryside lands and animal grazing. The farmhouse had the same dimensions, the arcades that characterize it architecturally were added as well as the front facade and the rear which guarantees an additional entrance. It has undergone a careful recovery of the functionality of the previous rooms, maintaining their proportions and heights, with focus on the south hall where the stone fireplace and the ceiling with wooden beams have been preserved.
